Coil Weapon
The Electro Lift Coil's discharge, hand-held: a short-range electrical weapon for the end game.
The Coil Weapon arrives in the next update (1.8.0).
Hold right-click to discharge. Electricity arcs from the emitter into every living thing in front of you within 10 blocks, up to four at once, and keeps hitting them for as long as they stay in range and in sight.
Each target takes heavy electrical damage twice a second: 4.5 hearts per hit up close, falling to half at the edge of range. The discharge doesn't knock targets back, so they can't be pushed out of reach, but anything past 10 blocks is safe.
With nothing in range, the arcs only sputter a few blocks ahead. You can walk while firing, a little slower than normal, but not sprint.
